Fratarica canyon is a perfect choice for experienced and sporty beginners. This canyon offers sliding, jumping to green ponds, rappelling and climbing down the cascades. This canyon is located in the Triglav National park. The highlights are amazing views, the 48 m Parabola Waterfall the a 19 m Cathedral Waterfall.
- Best for sporty beginners and experienced.

UPPER PREDELICA

The Upper Predelica canyon is located under the Predil Pass. A short walk will bring you to the creek. Each cascade in this canyon offers a different view of the Julian Alps. Predelica canyon starts with slides and jumps. The Emerald eye si just one of its gorgeous emerald ponds. The canyon ends with a challenging 33 m rappel down the “Fiances waterfall”. Before you descend from the anchor point make sure to glance at the mighty Mt. Mangart.

LOWER PREDELICA

This canyon is located just above a small alpine village Strmec. From here you can enjoy amazing views of the mighty “Loška stena” wall. This canyon offers a variety of waterfalls. After a short descent through a forest, your adventure will begin with a series of abseils and climbs along rock formations. You will get soaking wet jumping into emerald and crystal-clear pools. The most stunning and thrilling rappels are the 20 m Washing Machine waterfall and the 35 m Brides Veil waterfall.

Experience the thrill of cascading waterfalls at Globoški Potok, a unique canyoning adventure located in the Kanin mountains, just a few minutes drive from Bovec. A 45-minute hike from the Žaga village, leads to an open canyon with waterfalls smoothed by water flow and adorned with a carpet of moss. The lush green canyon ends with a triple waterfall, taking you down over 60 m to the Učja River gorge. This area, protected by Natura 2000, brims with diverse flora and fauna.

Embark on an exhilarating canyoning adventure in Volarja canyon, also known as Volarja pod Bregom. You’ll go on a scenic drive to the Krn mountains, where the canyon is located. After a gentle start, the canyon carves a sudden drop followed by over 15 waterfall descents into deep green pools, concluding with an 88-meter-high Gregorčič waterfall and the highest descend in the valley.

RESTRICTIONS
- Children under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult.
- You must refrain from being under the influence of alcohol or other psychotropic substances during the activity.
- For canyoning activities, it’s necessary to know how to swim.
- You must inform us of any medical conditions that could influence anyone’s performance during the trip.
- Changes to bookings or the number of participants will be accepted up to 24 hours before trip departure.
Alpi Center reserves the right to alter the program based on weather conditions or any unusual circumstances that could compromise the safety of the guided activity.
FAQs
Meeting point
Meeting point is usually in our Canyoning Center in Bovec, 15 min before the scheduled trip.
Opening season
Activity time: Mid April to mid October.
We highly recommend to book in advance. For busy months, July and August, make a reservation at least 2 weeks in advance.
What to Bring
You need: Swimming suit, towel, change of clothes, essential medications. For colder months we also recommend an extra thermal base layer.
Departures
Daily departures.
Minimum 2 clients to confirm the trip for most canyons.
Getting to the canyon
Despite out large vehicle fleet, it can happen that we will ask you to drive to the nearby canyons with your own car.
Is there a lift to the top of the canyon?
All canyons we offer are in wild nature, so the access the parking lot to the top of the canyon is always on foot. You can expect a 15-40 min uphill hike.
Is canyoning appropriate for children?
There are many different canyons in this area. Some are suitable also for children. Please contact us for more info.
Do we get a Neoprene suit?
All canyoning gear is provided. You will get neoprene pants and hooded jacket, neoprene socks, harness, helmet and proper canyoning shoes.
