The remote and stunningly beautiful valley Val Racollana is a home to Rio Patoc. It is a good choice if you wish to avoid crowds and appreciate secluded places. You’ll find it even more enjoyable if you prefer rope descents over jumps and slides, traversing sunny areas and ventures into stretches of a deep, narrow gorge bordered by towering cliffs. Standing at 15 m, the last and highest waterfall marks the end of this trip.

RIO LAVARIE

This most enclosed canyon in the area leaves no room for a warmup. After a scenic drive through the Julian Alps to Italy and a brief walk, you’ll quickly find yourself rappelling a 20 m waterfall, followed by a series of cascades, culminating in a 70m waterfall. The polished, glittering rock formations and crystal-clear pools are a true gem. The experience intensifies as you take a vertical spin around the corners, following the water’s path out to the Fella River.

Home to numerous jumps and slides, it’s sure to get your adrenaline pumping, even more so as you start with the highest rappel down a 20 m waterfall.

Arriving in Val Raccolana via the scenic Passo Sella Nevea, we’ll set foot on a short hike to the canyon feeding the Fella River, with Zuc dal Bor watching over—the region’s iconic peak. This canyon is ideal for you if you enjoy steep, narrow passages with fun jumps and don’t mind slippery rope descents into deep green pools. The canyon starts with a 7-meter drop and wraps up with a 60-meter waterfall, winding through beautifully river-carved formations.

Meeting point is usually in our Canyoning Center in Bovec, 10 min before the scheduled trip.

We run activities from Easter to mid October.

We highly recommend to book activities in advance. For busy months, July and August, make a reservation at least 2 weeks in advance.

Swimming suit, towel, change of clothes, food and water, ID card, essential medications.

For colder months we also recommend a thermal base layer.

Departures upon request.

Minimum 3  clients to confirm the trip.

There are many different canyons in this area. Some are suitable also for children. Please contact us for more info.

If not agreed diferently, we meet at our base in Bovec. From there we take our vans to drive to the canyoning area.

You will get neoprene pants and hooded jacket, neoprene socks, harness, helmet and proper canyoning shoes.

If you are prone to get cold, you can also bring a thermal layer to wear under the neopreen suit.
